The SMNET Edge is staffed by fully CIPD qualified HR professionals with expertise in recruitment, selection, employment law and of course midwifery.
Josie Grayson BSc Econ (Hons) CERT ED FE CIPD (Grad) is the co-creator and Director of StudentMidwife.NET, the world’s busiest and most successful education based online midwifery community. Josie has provided support and guidance to thousands of successful midwifery applicants, as well as writing a series of key midwifery e-learning materials. Josie is also a midwifery career expert panel member for the Guardian. Josie has worked in HR since 1997, and in midwifery since 2005. Now with the support of long term friend and colleague Annie, they have established the first independent HR Consultancy and Training service for midwifery.

Annie Gale BA (Hons) CIPD (Grad) has also worked in HR since 1997, holding many senior roles within public sector organisations. She has shadowed Josie on SMNET since January 2010 and has a full understanding of the HR support that is required by midwifery applicants.
